Effective and Empathic Therapy with Individuals and Couples
Sometimes life presents you with situations and problems that seem more than you can handle. Relationship difficulties, parenting problems, health issues, loss, or dissatisfaction with life may be expressed in a lack of energy, depression, sadness or anger.
Psychotherapy is a process in which you talk about your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. I feel that by truly getting to know and understand yourself - your strengths, frailties, and feelings about yourself and others--life can become more peaceful and fulfilling.
Working with a qualified and experienced therapist can help you change your life. As difficult as it can be to take the first step, once you do you are likely to find that there can be great relief in reaching out for help.
For the past 30 years I have worked effectively with people from every walk of life, who were struggling with a wide variety of personal and interpersonal issues.
I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from Hunter College in New York City in 1984. There I worked in several medical and mental health clinics, as well as the Psychiatric Unit at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. I have been licensed in the State of Florida since 2002.
I recently completed a comprehensive, 500 hour hypnotherapy course at the Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy, which is the only hypnotherapy school licensed in the State of Florida. When appropriate I have been incorporating hypnotherapy techniques and modalities with certain clients, and have been achieving outstanding results.
